One of the more popular tanning tablets is called Tanamins. They are actually considered or called a tanning vitamin. It claims to be get you a nice tan quickly and they are supposed to be all natural FDA approved. They have L-Tyrosine in them which increases the melanin production to give your the nice tan bronze look. They also contain vitamin E and D, to aid benefit your skin. They also contain ingredients to minimize sunburn and accelerate you tan.

Other varieties of tanning pills contain canthax-anthin which is the ingredient that gives you the tan. They claim to give you a quality tan within 7-10 days, how long and how often you have to keep taking the pills will vary depending on who you ask.

Some of the health related issues that have been reported concerning tanning tablets consist of hepatitus and yellow deposits in the retina of the eyes. Again, the research does not say whether the user abused the pills or not.

I would be very cautious of taking tanning pills. The one time I took them I did get a tan but also had a orange tone color to parts of my skin. Please do your do diligent research into what ever you decide to use. You can not go wrong by asking your primary care doctor, and you can find some reliable sources online to also aid you in your quest for a wonderful tan.
