When you are considering a tanning booth for your home one if the first things that you need to consider is the size of the room or available space where you will be putting the tanning booth.

A couple important things to consider would be the width of your doorways. The typical booths are pretty wide and need plenty of room to get the bed in and also have the room inside to move around comfortably.
I would make sure that I had enough room for a comfortable chair and 3 feet of room standing in front of the booth so you can put your lotion or tanning oil on and plus be able to get in and out with out much effort. You will be glad you did after you purchase it. It is nice to have a stand or coffee table by the beds also so you can put your cd player, drink, and goggles.
The next thing to consider is the height of the ceiling expecially if you are considering getting a stand up tanning bed. Most of the stand up beds require less time to get that nice bronze tan we all want to have. They do require more ceiling space and are higher wattage so you will need a 220 volt outlet for it.
That brings me to another point and that being what is the current electrical standards you are using? The smaller bed that you lay down in can usually be found for you typical house wiring – 110 volt. The bigger more robust beds such as the stand up beds will require that you have a 220 volt outlet. So you should consider this in your cost if you have to have some electrical wiring done.
Don’t forget the color you want! Some people that will not matter much, but you may be one who would like for your booth to match or have a nice flow to the color of your room. I hope these tips have helped you and wish you the best with you new tanning booth for your home.
